Touhou 16.5: Violet Detector Overview
Touhou 16.5: Violet Detector is the 16.5th release in the Touhou franchise, launched in 2018 and available as physical CD or digital copy on Steam. Touhou 16.5 features Sumireko Usami as the main character and protagonist. Gameplay and Concept-wise, this game is a follow-up to Touhou 9.5 and 12.5, in which you take photography of Danmaku. Aside from that photographing part, Sumireko has some neat abilities that you gain throughout the game, for example Teleportation. But judg3, what’s the incident? So, Sumireko finds herself trapped in a nightmare where Gensokyo residents attack her with Danmaku for no reason essentially. So she takes photographs of various Danmaku patterns, posting them on social media, which in the end do free her.
